For a better tomorrow
Future technologies of ZEISS
High-tech materials
Conventional materials reach their limits at some point. New developments are thus constantly required to meet the demands of future cutting-edge technology. By promoting advanced materials, ZEISS is shaping this change.
Sensor technology and automation
With a strong focus on customer needs, ZEISS aims to make future generations of devices not only smarter, but smaller and faster. The aim is also to minimize power consumption. In addition, ZEISS supports automation in factories, medicine and laboratories with its range of technologies. Current projects include miniaturized and integrated photonics and sensor technology for imaging, robotic systems, autonomous systems, and mechatronic concepts, as well as computer- and robot-assisted surgery.
Artificial intelligence (AI)
Current devices and software solutions from ZEISS already contain AI components or have been manufactured with them. But there is also a major focus on topics such as intelligent data use or advanced machine learning methods.
Optics and photonics
In addition to traditional optics, ZEISS focuses on additive optics, printed optics as well as integrated photonic systems and microstructured optics, among others. The company is a technological trailblazer pioneering modern optics.
