Consignments to ZEISS

Routing order for Carl Zeiss AG

As per your ZEISS order, the goods shall be delivered to a ZEISS site. As per your ZEISS order, the goods shall be delivered to a ZEISS site. The following definition applies to cases in which it has been agreed that transport related costs shall be borne by ZEISS (= delivery shall be arranged as per ordered INCOTERM “EXW”, “FCA”, “FAS” or “FOB” ). Further details can be retrieved in the individual purchase order.

In any case, the address provided by ZEISS on the individual order and/or other agreements must be used for the documents accompanying the goods/shipment.

In light of this, we would ask that you proceed as per the specifications detailed in the individual tabs for each delivery method if no clear instructions have been given in the order you’ve received, or issued in a separate agreement with the ordering party.

In the event of non-compliance with our specifications, we reserve the right to invoice you for the difference.

Please note that there is a new address for our site logistics center in Oberkochen from April 2022 onwards! Detailed delivery address information is provided on a purchase order level.

From March 2024, a new delivery address will apply for our incoming goods department in Jena! Please take the valid delivery address from the purchase order you received.

For courier-, express- or parcel services (CEP) the shipper is therefore not permitted to arrange an additional insurance and/or a value to increase the liability of the service provider if not mentioned differently in the individual purchase order. The field („Total Declared Value for Carriage“) on the shipping label and/or waybill is not to be filled.

The relevant hotline numbers for the shipping sites in Germany can be found on the link on the individual PO. If you’re shipping from a site outside Germany, please go to the service provider’s website in your country and get in touch with them in this way.

Depending on the time of order placement, the parcel can normally be picked up on the same day, or on the next day at the latest.

  • Different customer numbers will have to be used depending on the ZEISS business unit and site. If no detailed instructions have been issued about the customer number that is to be used for a particular order, it shall be taken only from the link mentioned in the current order.

      •   "Invoice to third party" for shipments sent to an alternative address on behalf of ZEISS

The payer must be selected by the shipping customer for customs and taxes as per the specifications in each order. If no specifications have been provided, they must make a selection in line with the chargeable party.

  • A personal customer number simplifies future contact with the respective service provider.
