The PLEX Elite 9000 units utilize a NAS drive manufactured by Synology. Based on Synology security advisory, the company have noted increased malware activity against its devices and recommends all the Synology users to take preventative measures by enhancing security for the NAS drives. Synology offers several methods that can help you make your Synology NAS more secure.
