Faster tool optimization and maintenance
Injection molding tools are manufactured in a complex process - several iterations are usually necessary despite prior simulations. The correction of the tools requires not only a deep understanding of injection molding technology, material science and design, but also many years of experience in the interactions that occur during design changes. In addition, regular maintenance of the injection molding tools takes a lot of time.
You can save a lot of time and material in the design, production and maintenance of injection molding tools with measuring solutions from ZEISS: In tool try-out, ZEISS scanners, computer tomographs and coordinate measuring machines measure complex geometries and provide 3D measurement data for targeted tool correction, which is then supported by software. With a nominal-actual comparison of the plastic parts produced, individual steps in the CNC machining of the tool can be systematically checked. In addition, optical 3D measurement of elongation, deformations and displacement during injection molding is possible. 3D digitization also simplifies the production of electrodes, which are required for die-sinking the molds.
