ZEISS REACH CFX 1 offers a cost-effective introduction to carbon fiber technology. Their performance in thermal stability and stiffness makes them an obvious upgrade to titanium and aluminum.

ZEISS REACH CFX 3

ThermoFit is now ZEISS REACH CFX 3. New name - same performance. The renowned extensions allow you to reduce your measurement time without compromising the reliability of your results.

ZEISS REACH CFX 5 are the stylus extensions for the most precise measuring demands. Their state-of-the-art carbon fiber and unique winding enable maximum stiffness when even the last µ counts.

No more downgrading

To distinguish good parts from rejects, reliable measuring results are a necessity. This can only be achieved when minimizing the measuring uncertainty. Using the wrong extensions has a direct negative influence on the overall measuring uncertainty and therefore reduces the accuracy your CMM could achieve. The overall influence of the extension on the measuring uncertainty is mainly determined by three factors: weight, thermal expansion and static stiffness.

Light weight

All ZEISS REACH CFX extensions are made from carbon fiber – a material known to be very lightweight. This allows the assembly of more complex stylus systems, also on probes with strict weight limits, which reduces the number of changes of styli systems.

Thermally stable

Due to their thermal stability, ZEISS REACH CFX extensions maintain their constant length in the event of temperature changes. Be it in the measuring lab or in a production area – they are thermally more stable than aluminum or titanium extensions and can therefore be used in various environments.

Statically stiff

All extensions in the portfolio are statically stiff with hardly any deflection compared to extensions made of titanium or aluminum - even at a scanning speed of up to 12 mm/s. This allows you to scan your workpiece faster and thus increase your productivity.

Three performance levels

Within the portfolio there are three different stiffness levels: CFX 1, CFX 3 and CFX 5. The three levels are resulting from different carbon fiber qualities and windings. This way we ensure optimal performance for the varying accuracy requirements of different CMMs.
