Copy milling based on 3D measurement data

3D scanning of tools with ATOS can also be useful without reverse engineering the surfaces into a CAD model. This is because certain tool shapes permit a new tool to be milled directly on the basis of ATOS measurement data (STL data).

This can be useful, for example, when broken tools need to be replaced. In addition, mirrored tools for the right or left variant of a part can also be milled very easily based on this data, without having to go through the try-out process again.
