ZEISS ScanBox Series 4

Mobile stand-alone measuring solution for the production environment

With the ZEISS ScanBox 4105 optical 3D measuring machine, you can quickly and efficiently inspect small and complex parts up to 500 mm in size. The compact and mobile system is ready for immediate use thanks to the plug & play concept and can be easily repositioned if required. All measuring processes and inspection sequences can be started directly at the integrated operating station. The special user interface – the Kiosk Interface – and the virtual measuring room (VMR) in the ZEISS INSPECT software take over the entire process control.

  • Compact design with small footprint
  • Automated inspection of small and complex parts
  • Easy operation at the touch of a button

Ready for immediate use and easy handling

ZEISS ScanBox Series 4 is the ideal solution for efficient quality assurance of your injection and die-cast parts, tools or formed, stamped and bent parts.

Plug & Play

Plug & Play

Turnkey 3D measuring machine

ZEISS ScanBox 4105 can be connected to any standard power socket: Simply switch on the optical 3D measuring machine and start the measuring program.

Easy operation

Easy operation

Automated process control at the touch of a button

Program and control the optical 3D measuring machine via a simple user interface – the Kiosk Interface. Your plant employees do not need any special technical knowledge to operate it: Insert the part, select the measuring program and press the start button.

Ergonomic functions

Ergonomic functions

Operation while standing or sitting

The flexible operating station offers various ergonomic functions: The integrated swivel arm can be adjusted to the desired position so that ZEISS ScanBox 4105 can be operated while standing or sitting.

ZEISS ScanBox Series 4 RC

ZEISS ScanBox Series 4 RC (Remote Control) is a new optical 3D measuring machine with a motorized sliding door. The parts to be inspected are automatically loaded into ZEISS ScanBox Series 4 RC by a robot or an individually configured loading system and placed on the rotation table module. By eliminating the need for manual individual placement, the time required is significantly reduced, thus ensuring a higher throughput in quality assurance.

ATOS Q meets high metrological demands

The integrated ATOS Q sensor quickly provides quality information with a high level of detail for subsequent inspection and analysis. By using a multi-part fixture, you can measure several parts in one run - even in 24/7 operation if required: This allows you to increase your throughput, produce less scrap and standardize your quality assurance.

Virtual Measuring Room

Virtual Measuring Room

Real environment in a virtual simulation

The virtual measuring room (VMR) is the central control and measurement planning software for all elements of the optical 3D measuring machine. It offers the functional representation of a real measurement environment in a virtual simulation. The VRM consists of a robot with a sensor, the programming, including the kinematics of the robot paths, the part and the measurement plan. Thanks to the VMR, the user does not need any special robot expertise. All robot movements are simulated in the virtual measuring room before execution and checked for safety.

ZEISS INSPECT offers everything from a single source

Scanning, inspection and reporting: Evaluate nominal-actual comparisons as well as GD&T. Implement necessary corrections directly thanks to easy-to-understand results. With ZEISS INSPECT, you can carry out complete analyses, receive comprehensive reporting and integrate measurement results into existing processes.

  • The asynchronous mode makes it possible to assess the first sample while the other parts are still being scanned.

    Markus Sporer

    Quality Manager, Hirschvogel Group
  • ScanBox enables us to digitize a complete part in little or no time to create GD&Ts as well as sections or false-color comparisons afterwards in order to determine various drawing dimensions.

    Marcel Nickel

Expert for optical measurement technology, Buderus Guss
  • ScanBox supports us in the development of a machining process: This allows us to configure the machine optimally and become more efficient in the production of precise parts.
