ATOS ScanBox Series 6
3D measuring machine

ATOS ScanBox Series 6

High throughput in the production environment

In the production environment, it is important to identify, analyze and eliminate quality problems as fast as possible. For that, as many parts as possible have to be completely checked in the shortest amount of time to be able to initiate targeted corrective measures at short notice and to minimize scrap. Master this challenge with ATOS ScanBox Series 6: Two different variants provide fully automatic surface deviations between the complete 3D actual coordinates and the CAD data in the shortest possible time.

  • Designed for quality assurance of large and heavy parts
  • Simultaneous loading and measurement for increased throughput
  • High flexibility thanks to quick part changes

Monitor production processes & reduce scrap

Provision of additional measurement data in the shortest possible time

Loading and measuring at the same time

Provision of additional measurement data in the shortest possible time

With the optical 3D measuring machine ATOS ScanBox 6235, you can increase your throughput - thanks to two working areas that can be operated independently of each other. You can place your parts, such as doors, tailgates or battery modules with a size of up to 3500 mm and a maximum weight of 5000 kg, in both working areas or on the rotation tables. Both working areas are operated safely due to the automatic doors.

Quick loading and unloading

Quick loading and unloading

Optimized planning for efficient workflows

The entry areas are constructed very wide and allow an uncomplicated use of loading machines such as cranes, forklift trucks or pallet trucks. Hang-on parts can be measured more quickly with ATOS ScanBox 6135 and 6235 with a multi-part fixture, as it is not necessary to change the measuring fixture. The multi-part fixture can be easily positioned via the Human Machine Interface (HMI), allowing the hang-on parts to be changed from the front.

Full-surface acquisition of complex geometries

High-speed scanning with ATOS 5 & ATOS 5X

Full-surface acquisition of complex geometries

Due to its advanced camera technology, a powerful light source and high-performance software, ATOS 5 achieves a new level of performance, especially when measuring shiny and dark surfaces, fine structures and edges. The technology accelerates the total measuring time, while providing precise 3D measurement data at the same time. ATOS 5X uses the integrated Laser Light Compressor to generate ultra-bright light. This enables measuring fields of up to 1000 mm with very short exposure times.

Real environment in a virtual simulation

Virtual Measuring Room

Real environment in a virtual simulation

The virtual measuring room (VMR) is the central control and measurement planning software for all elements of the optical 3D measuring machine. It offers the functional representation of a real measurement environment in a virtual simulation. The VMR consists of a robot with a sensor, the programming, including the kinematics of the robot paths, the part and the measurement plan. Thanks to the VMR, the user can work with the system without requiring specific robot programming skills. All robot movements are simulated and checked for safety in the virtual measuring room before execution.

Effective tool for analysis ZEISS INSPECT offers everything from a single source

Scanning, inspecting and reporting: Evaluate nominal-actual comparisons as well as GD&T. Implement necessary corrections directly thanks to easy-to-understand results. With ZEISS INSPECT you can carry out complete analyses, receive comprehensive reporting and integrate measurement results into existing processes.

Virtual clamping for hang-on parts

Virtual Clamping technology avoids multiple measurement loops for parts that are typically measured on mechanical fixtures with four support points.
