Nanoscale 3D X-ray Imaging for the Laboratory with ZEISS Xradia Ultra
ZEISS Microscopy
Abstract
The ZEISS Xradia Ultra family of nanoscale X-ray microscopes are the highest resolution lab-based X-ray microscopes available. By leveraging synchrotron quality X-ray optics, the Xradia Ultra achieves true spatial resolutions down to <50 nm and a voxel size of 16 nm. The high penetrating power of X-rays unlocks a unique resolution domain to non-destructive 3D imaging for a broad range of materials, from metals to biomaterials.
In this webinar, we will cover applications of nanoscale XRM, including connecting nanoscale morphology to the bulk performance of advanced functional materials and leveraging the unique non-destructive capability of nanoscale XRM to image materials in situ under compressive load. Additionally, we will explore the use of the Zernike Phase Contrast (ZPC) imaging to obtain key insights into structure-function relationships of biological nanomaterials. Lastly, we will discuss how with Xradia Versa, one can achieve seamless correlative, multi-length scale imaging workflows.
Key Learnings:
- Non-destructive imaging at the nanoscale
- Unique capability to perform in situ, operando and 4D studies
- The ability to image a broad range of materials
