Abstract

Metallurgists and engineers continue to push the boundaries of what metals can do. With the greater performance from materials in the construction, transportation, and infrastructure industries, there comes an increased need for understanding and engineering of metals at the nanometer scale.

Microscopy continues to evolve to meet the exacting research needs of the metals industries faster and more intelligently than ever before. In this webinar, attendees will learn about: novel metallographic hardware and software solutions for greater insights into small features, and recent innovations in fast in situ sample preparation as well as advanced analysis and multimodal solutions.

Examples range from 3D light microscopy, surface analysis, machine learning segmentation, particle analysis, femtosecond laser ablation in FIB-SEM, time of flight mass spectrometry, correlative tomography, helium ion microscopy, and more.
