Abstract

Originally broadcast December 3, 2019 by Wiley. Geological microanalysis has the potential of shedding light into applications ranging from igneous and metamorphic petrography, mineral formation processes, paleontology, through to industrially applied geological fields, such as ore body research or flow and transport in porous media. Most of this analysis, however, is done in 2D, either using traditional optical petrography techniques, or using electron microscope based automated mineralogy. In this webinar we will showcase recent developments in the field of Geoscience using X-ray microscopy.
