ZEISS Dynamics Profiler is adding a new functionality to ZEISS laser scanning microscopes (LSM) with Airyscan. It provides users with easy access to the molecular concentration and dynamics of fluorescently labelled molecules in living samples. Scientists can now explore their most delicate samples with little time needed and at low light intensity as well as boost data collection to enhance their research.
Seamless integration with live imaging experiments
Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS) is an established method for investigating molecular characteristics. However, it requires low concentrations of fluorescent label – which hinders its use in most live imaging experiments. ZEISS Dynamics Profiler is the first tool with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface to provide effortless access to this data during confocal live imaging experiments.
New spatial cross-correlation analyses
The area detector allows a variety of spatial cross-correlation analyses by using combinations of the 32 single Airyscan detector elements. Besides conventional FCS measurements of molecular concentration and mobility, it also enables the study of the asymmetric diffusion behavior of cellular condensates, for example, as well as the measurement of speed and direction of molecules moving in a bloodstream or in microfluidic systems, such as organs-on-a-chip. Scientists can develop a more in-depth profile of underlying molecular dynamics in their experiments – from cell cultures to organoids to whole organisms.
