Workshop

Excel on Your Elyra 7

A ZMCC SkillBuilder Workshop

10:00 am - 02:00 pm PST

Workshop Overview & Agenda

This virtual workshop will involve in-depth discussions and demonstrations with one of ZEISS’ newest and most exciting super resolution instruments: the ZEISS Elyra 7 with Lattice SIM. Discussions will cover recent advancement in the new instrument, as well as supporting theory on super resolution microscopy, including structured illumination microscopy and single molecule localization microscopy. Demonstrations with the instrument will feature both live and fixed samples, showcasing the breadth and versatility of the instrument to perform gentle super resolution across a wide range of scales.

This is a one day, virtual workshop presented from the new ZEISS Microscopy Customer Center (ZMCC) in Dublin, CA. Attendees will be able to meet our local experts and understand how the Elyra 7 with Lattice SIM can accelerate their specific research goals. Our Microscopy Application team will cover a full itinerary of topics as detailed below.

Topics that will be covered in this workshop include:

Introducing: The ZEISS Lattice SIM Family

  • Imaging across scales with Structured Illumination Microscopy (SIM) and Single Molecule Localization Microscopy (SMLM)
  • Overview of features
  • Tackling the “Pyramid of Frustration”
  • Example applications

Demonstrations: Using Elyra 7 with Lattice SIM Z-stacks and axial sampling

  • Acquire super-resolution images as fast and gentle as widefield images
  • Go from a large-field overview to super-resolution details

Going Further: Transforming Your Super Resolution Experiments with SIM2 & SMLM

  • Double your SIM resolution with SIM2
  • Acquire 3D data with molecular precision
  • Go from image to results with new processing and ZEISS arivis software integration
