ZEISS Alvaress freeform strip

Aspheres and freeform surfaces in series production Individual optical components made from versatile materials

Do you need special optical functions? From optical glass and fused silica to Zerodur®, crystals or metal – we manufacture aspheres and freeform surfaces from a wide variety of materials. Especially where compact optical components with low weight are required, freeform optical surfaces offer the solution. Whether prototype or series production – we supply precise optical components with rotationally symmetrical or non-rotationally symmetrical optical functional surfaces up to lambda /10.

Flexible process chain with powerful measurement technology

We use software and hardware developed in house at the key points in our modular production chain. In this way, you get results at the highest technical level in every step. Processes such as grinding, polishing or correction steps are used flexibly and monitored by powerful measurement technology.

Prototype and series production

Prototype and series production

Concave and convex aspheres or freeform surfaces – production at ZEISS is possible as individual components or in series production using a wide variety of materials. From consulting to the production of the white parts up to spectral finalization, we offer all process steps from a single source.

Coating designs at ZEISS

Wide range of coating designs

For your individual optics, we offer a large selection of coating designs in our coating catalog. There is no standard coating for your product? Then we adapt existing designs or develop the optimal coating according to your needs and requirements..
