UNIVERSARIUM Modell IX LED
The Universal Star Theater of its Own
UNIVERSARIUM is the most powerful planetarium instrument from ZEISS, designed for large domes and multimedia star theaters, and for horizontal, as well as for tilted domes. Thanks to the high brightness of all projections, even projection domes with a very low degree of reflection can be used. The new LED light sources provide very bright stars, as well as extremely bright images of Sun, Moon, and planets. They also reduce power consumption and maintenance costs.
Natural Depiction of the Night Sky
The ZEISS UNIVERSARIUM stars surpass any digital starfield by far. The starry sky is projected with fiber-optic projection systems designed and manufactured by ZEISS. In the latest UNIVERSARIUM version powerful LED light sources illuminate the star masks. The stars are point-shaped and totally white. The brightest stars also displaying conspicuous tints in nature are projected in a reddish or bluish or yellowish color. ZEISS UNIVERSARIUM provides a realistic simulation of the scintillation of all stars.
A Modular System in Starball Design
The Starball comprises all features for the starry sky. Select the didactical projections you want to present with the Starball and choose between the projectors for Sun and Moon and planets. ZEISS UNIVERSARIUM is designed for special custom configurations and specifications. In any case, the configuration is subject to specification by contract.
Flexible Control System and User-friendly Operation
Although a highly complex instrument, it can be manually controlled without any restriction – like all ZEISS planetarium projectors. This means real-time operation and interactive control as well as automatic reproduction goes without saying. UNIVERSARIUM can be combined with any fulldome system from ZEISS. The combination allows absolutely synchronous control of optical-mechanical and digital planetarium projection.
