The Centennial of the Planetarium opening events took place in both Munich at the Deutsches Museum and Jena in the Zeiss-Planetarium on Saturday.

Presenters were astrophysicist and aspiring astronaut Dr. Suzanna Randall and Jens Pflüger. It was featuring contributions from Michael McConville (President International Planetarium Society, IPS), Dr. Björn Voss (President Society of German-Speaking Planetariums e.V., GDP), Bettina Stark-Watzinger (Federal Minister of Education and Research), Bodo Ramelow (Minister-President of Thuringia), Dr. Karl Lamprecht (CEO ZEISS Group) and former ESA astronaut Thomas Reiter.
