Progressives, also called varifocal glasses, address a common condition middle-aged people start to face – the struggle to focus up close. With multiple prescriptions in just one pair, they’ll help you switch focus without having to switch glasses. They don’t have any visible lines, but you’ll have to get used to different lens zones.
See more than you did before.
Opt for individualised optics.
It’s true: ZEISS Progressive lenses take some getting used to. But we can customise yours and fine tune the vision zones for the widest possible fields of view and quick adaptation. We take your frame, lens position and everyday activities into account to craft ZEISS optics just for you. We’re sure that you’ll love your lenses in no time.

Progressive lenses have different zones designed to help you see clearly at different distances: up close, in between and far away. On top, you have the distance zone, in the middle the intermediate zone, and at the bottom the near zone. These blend smoothly into each other, allowing for a progressive transition between prescriptions – hence the name.
-
Also known as progressive lenses, they correct vision at different distances – from up close to far away. They don’t have unsightly lines or circles to separate the individual prescriptions, which means that they look like single vision lenses. Instead, the prescription changes gradually across the lens – for a smooth, comfortable transition between viewing distances.
-
Varifocal lens designs are way more complex than single vision lenses. They require you to look through different areas of the lens to see clearly at different distances. An incorrect fitting can cause you to look through the wrong part of the lens and your vision will seem blurry. Luckily we can fine-tune your ZEISS varifocal glasses based on your activities, anatomy and frame. We’re confident you’ll get used to them in no time and enjoy comfortable vision at all distances.

You might have heard of people taking weeks to adapt or even giving up on progressives after a while. But there’s no need to worry. ZEISS Progressive SmartLife lenses have an amazing track record – eight of ten wearers reported comfortable vision within minutes.1 We’re confident you’ll adapt to your ZEISS lenses in no time.
