ZEISS VISUREF 600 is a combined wavefront autorefractor and keratometer. It provides highly precise objective refraction results that enable eye care professionals to offer individualized ZEISS lenses with ZEISS i.Scription technology. The variety of measurement capabilities facilitate additional services that are tailored to the needs of the customers and go beyond the results of refraction.

The device utilizes wavefront aberrations and monocular visual acuity assessment for progress monitoring. The analysis of the collected data allows for the calculation of the eye’s refraction, including the relevant sphere, cylinder, and axis, as well as the identification of higher-order aberrations using Zernike polynomials.
The following measurements and assessments can be performed:- Refraction: Measurement of the refractive power of the eye, including lower and higher order aberrations
- Keratometry: Measurement of central and peripheral curvature of the eye
- Visual Acuity: Assessment of visual acuity (monocular) under standard conditions and low light and glare conditions to determine night visual acuity.
- Opacity: Assessment of the opacity of the lens using retro illumination.
- Color View: Assessment of the color image of the eye
- Pupillometry and White-to-White (WTW): Measurement of the pupil diameter and the white-to-white distance (limbus diameter)
- Tear Film Breakup Time (TFBUT):
- Measurement of tear film breakup time
- Meibomian Gland: Assessment of the degeneration of the meibomian glands.

The versatile features and measurements enable eye care professionals to offer additional services that are tailored to the needs of their customers. These include dry eye screening and soft contact lens fitting.

The patient should sit comfortably on a chair. The chin must be placed on the chinrest, while the forehead touches the forehead rest. The height of the chinrest is adjusted so that the eyes are aligned with the canthus marker on the housing. The device is then operated via touchscreen. The integration of measurement assistants for different use cases simplifies handling and ensures a smooth workflow. Each assistant has a standard workflow with mandatory steps that guide the user through the respective process. The assistants can also be configured according to the practice workflow or individual preferences.
ZEISS VISUREF 600 can be seamlessly integrated into the ZEISS ecosystem for a more efficient workflow as manual data transfers are waived. It can be easily connected to ZEISS VISUCONSULT 500, to the ZEISS medical ecosystem ZEISS FORUM and other ZEISS-supported patient management systems.1

Instead of the typical balloon, there is the "Earthrise target". It is the iconic "Earthrise" image, taken with a ZEISS lens in the year 1968, showing the Earth rising above the moon's horizon.
