ZEISS is introducing ZEISS VISUREF 600 to the market – a combined wavefront autorefractor and keratometer. The device offers eye care professionals a variety of measurement options and additional services tailored to the needs of the customer, beyond refractive results.

Precision meets versatility: Accurate measurement results and additional features

ZEISS VISUREF 600 uses ZEISS wavefront technology to deliver reliable and highly precise results for objective refraction. No two people see the world the same, so the benefits for eyeglass wearers are evident: ZEISS VISUREF 600 enables eye care professionals to offer individualized ZEISS lenses through i.Scription technology, which gives each customer an individual visual solution customized to their specific needs. This results in improved vision during the day and night, higher resolution, sharper contrast, more vibrant colors, and a reduction in disturbing glare. Furthermore, ZEISS VISUREF 600 make additional services possible such as dry eye screening and soft contact lens fitting without having to invest in additional devices.

Efficient and streamlined consultation process

Measurement assistants are integrated for different use cases including visual acuity tests, dry eye screening, and soft contact lens fitting. This further increases efficiency, simplifies handling, and ensures a smooth workflow. Each assistant has a standard workflow with mandatory steps to guide the user through the process. The assistants can also be configured according to the practice workflow or individual preferences.

  • ECP and Consumer with ZEISS VISUREF 600

ZEISS VISUREF 600 features measurement assistants with predefined workflows and can be seamlessly integrated into the ZEISS ecosystem.

The consultation process is streamlined, and ZEISS VISUREF 600 can be seamlessly integrated into the ZEISS ecosystem. The measurement results and images taken can be digitally transmitted directly to ZEISS VISUCONSULT 500, ZEISS FORUM or other patient management systems1. This saves time for the eye care professional and ensures that the data is always up to date. Alternatively, it is also possible to print out the measurement values at the device.

Convincing price-performance ratio

The device is positioned in a middle price range and serves as a complement to the existing range of ZEISS devices for objective refraction: ZEISS VISUREF 150 is an basic autorefractor and keratometer without wavefront technology and ZEISS i.Profilerplus enables wavefront-based refraction measurement and eye topography to provide eye care professionals with a detailed visual profile to answer each patients’ visual needs. Additionally, ZEISS VISUCORE 500 combines precise objective and subjective refraction in one cycle to save space and increase efficiency with faster refraction and without compromising on accuracy.

Earthrise as fixation target

A special highlight: Instead of the typical balloon, the "Earthrise target" image serves as the fixation target and is unique to ZEISS VISUREF 600. This is the iconic "Earthrise" photograph taken with a ZEISS lens on December 24, 1968, showing the Earth rising above the moon's horizon.

Since November 2024, ZEISS VISUREF 600 has been available in Hong Kong and Japan and will gradually be offered in other markets worldwide.

Benefits at a glance

  • Combines autorefractor and keratometer and enables precise refractions through ZEISS-adopted wavefront technology.
