vivo and ZEISS are to reaffirm their long-term intentions and to open a new chapter in collaboration

Since 2020, vivo and ZEISS have partnered to bring professional imaging standards to the world of smartphones. The global strategic imaging partnership between the two companies has entered its fourth year and has reached several milestones in mobile imaging. More than 20 devices within vivo’s flagship X series as well as lately introduced the top-level V series have been jointly co-engineered and enabled the creativity of millions of users worldwide. Through the vivo ZEISS Imaging Lab the companies are setting new benchmarks for excellence in smartphone imaging by developing new vivo devices using advanced optical design, professional quality standards and bringing the best out of the world of system engineering, software, and hardware.

To reaffirm their long-term intentions and to underline the strength of the partnership, vivo and ZEISS have signed an extended joint research and development agreement. At the same time, the two companies are opening a new chapter in their cooperation. vivo and ZEISS will continue to explore the innovations and important technologies of mobile optics together, develop even more outstanding imaging solutions, and create a new paradigm of cooperation. In the future, the cooperation between vivo and ZEISS will continue to break through in the field of imaging, classical and computational optics, and also in exploring more possibilities in further fields such as health imaging, and other areas, jointly exploring the infinite possibilities of future imaging. As a result, future products, and the users, who are at the heart of the joint approach, will benefit from more co-engineered imaging technologies. Both companies emphasize their joint approach for a long-term, sustainable innovation ecosystem.
