ZEISS expands its range of trail cameras and introduces the new ZEISS Secacam 5 Wide-Angle. With its wide field of view of 100° and high recording quality, the camera is particularly suitable for observations and surveillance in cramped situations. "The lens of the Secacam 5 Wide-Angle makes it possible to capture a large field of view and thus view a larger part of the surroundings. This is particularly advantageous for monitoring extensive areas or close-range observations, for example at feeding stations where animals can approach from different directions," explains Constantin Klug, Product Manager for Hunting at ZEISS. The previous ZEISS trail cameras with a narrower 60° angle of view open up more details in the distance, as the objects are imaged closer and larger. "Whether you need a narrower or wider field of view, with the expansion of our trail camera assortment we now offer the right equipment for different purposes and preferences," says Klug.
Exceptional image quality with short close focus
With sharp images from a close focus of 35 cm, the Secacam 5 Wide-Angle enables detailed images even of objects in immediate proximity. Thanks to the infrared flash of the 60 black LEDs, which is invisible to humans and animals, the intelligent lighting control and the particularly light-intensive photo sensor with an extremely high trigger speed, the ZEISS trail cameras record sharp, detailed and perfectly illuminated photos and videos both during the day and in complete darkness.
High-quality manufacturing in the usual ZEISS quality
The weather- and water-resistant housings of the ZEISS Secacam 5 and 7 and the perfect matching of components, such as the motion detector, photo sensor or transmitter module, guarantee excellent yet extremely energy-saving trail cameras - even under demanding conditions. The compact design and low weight of the ZEISS Secacam 5 Wide-Angle allow the camera to be mounted in confined spaces, on trees or other inaccessible places.
Reliable transmission capability
All ZEISS trail cameras are equipped with a modern LTE module with an integrated multi-roaming SIM card. "This allows the camera to dial into the networks of all major providers and always chooses the best available network at the location where it is mounted. This provides a reliable view of the area even in difficult network conditions," says Klug. All recorded images and videos can be accessed at any time on the mobile device via the ZEISS Secacam app using monthly service plans or prepaid offers. The three-stage and flexibly customizable service plans offer additional features such as remote control or AI animal recognition.
